The d!nk app explained

In this section we'll show you how to use the d!nk app. We'll discuss the 3 possible versions:

  1. Tablet (iPad/Android/Windows)
  2. Smartphone (iPhone/Android)
  3. Browser

Most functionalities are the same however due to the different screen sizes, the layout and options are a little different.

1. Tablet

Once you've logged into the app, the app landing page will appear.

  1. Key publications: These are the publications that the company has selected as most relevant or most important to your business on a daily basis. (note for admins, here's how to define Key Publications)
  2. Settings: tap on the icon to set your avatar picture, click on the settings icon to set your language, your first name and last name for personalised communications to customers about Account Hub and set your default Account Hub invitation message.
  3. Customer sessions: in case your enterprise is using the Customer Function, you'll see the customer icon for starting a session with a selected customer.
  4. Newsfeed: Relevant messages are published in the newsfeed (note for admins: here's how to create messages in the newsfeed).
  5. "Recently opened" and "New" improve navigation by showing what publications you have recently opened and lists the last updated publications in the app.
  6. Sync(hronization): update your publications.
  7. Search: pull down the page to display the Search bar.
  8. Shortcuts: At the bottom left, you find a shortcut to kiosk list, Favorites and Customer Interaction Insight (Account Hub activity panel and Surveywonders).

Click on this icon to view your kiosks

You'll see your kiosks listed on the left. If you select a kiosk, you can see the publications per collection on your right side.

  1. Home button: go back to landing page
  2. Show/Hide kiosk list: press this button to show or hide the list of kiosks.
  3. Favorites: Select publications to add to favorite kiosk. Discover more...
  4. Share publications: Select publications to share and send by email or send Account Hub to your customer. Discover more...
  5. Sync icon: When the app is launched, the new content will be synced. While syncing, you will see the icon is turning. You can press the icon to start the sync and update your content.
  6. Tap the cover of the publication to open the publication. Remove a downloaded publication by pressing the cover of a publication for 2 seconds and click "uninstall". 
  7. Show confidential publications: press the lock to show the confidential publications.

When you've tapped a cover to open the publication, you'll see the publication and the publication toolbar. Discover more....

4. Show thumbnails to jump to other page

 PDF documents have a few additional buttons:

7. Search: You can search for any text in your PDF. Fill in the text you want to find and our search function will highlight the text in the PDF.

8: Double page view: When opening a PDF in the app, you'll be able to switch from single page view to double page view

9: Edit: show the PDF annotations:

  1. Add comments
  2. Highlight important text
  3. Strike through text for quick feedback.
  4. Underline text
  5. Add your signature on any document in a few taps.
  6. Draw on any PDF 
  7. Erase your annotations
  8. Add your own text
  9. Draw shapes
  10. Move an annotation  
  11. Close the annotations view

You can save the annotated PDF to an Account Hub or send by email (when enabled by your admin). In the Windows app, you can save the annotated PDF to your PC.

 

2. Smartphone (iPhone, Android) version

Once you've logged in to the d!nk mobile app, you'll see the key publications (2) and newsfeed (3). Click on a news article to see the details. Swipe right on the newsfeed to see the overview of New and Recent publications.

Select the menu button (1) and go to one of the main options:

1: overview of kiosks

2: search publications

3: open the insights in customer interaction (Account Hubs and Surveywonders)

When you tap the kiosk icon, you will see the available kiosks listed. Click the kiosk you want to open.

 Let's have a look at the additional functionality of the iPhone app:

  1. home button: go back to landing page
  2. Collections: when you open a kiosk, you'll see the collections are presented as vertical columns. Swipe left and right to navigate between collections. The bullets on the top indicate the number of collections.
  3. Show confidential publications: switch the bar to show the confidential publications
  4. Download status: when a publication is downloaded and offline available, you will see a green check. An orange check indicates an update is available.
  5. Favorites: Select publications to add to favorite kiosk. Discover more...
  6. Account Hub: Select publications to add to Account Hub or send Account Hub to your customer. Discover more...
  7. Send Publications: Select publications to send by email
  8. Sync button: When the app is launched, the new content will be synced. While syncing, you will see the icon is turning. You can press the icon to start the sync and update your content.

To annotate a PDF in the Android app, long press the screen to call up the annotations:

PDF annotations on iPhone are shown in the top bar:

3. Browser

Once you've logged in to the web app, the landing page will appear.

Here you can find the:

  1. Key publications 
    These are the publications that the company has selected as most relevant or most important to your business on a daily basis.

  2. Newsfeed
    Relevant messages are published in your newsfeed. 
    (note for admins: here's how to
    create messages in the newsfeed).
  3. Sync(ronization) button 
    To update your publications.


Underneath this icon you can view your kiosks:

When you click on a kiosk, you can see the publications on your right side:

When you've tapped a cover to open the publication, you'll see this toolbar at the right top:

So that you can 

  1. see thumbnails of the slides at the bottom of your screen
  2. activate the star functionality
  3. add this publication to the account hub
  4. enlarge your view
  5. close the publication

When opening a PDF document, you will notice a few additional buttons:Picture4.png

  1. Open a side panel
  2. Browse through the pages
  3. Zoom in or out
  4. Change the page layout or rotate pages
  5. Change the fit of the page
  6. Search
  7. Full screen view
  8. Print

You can save the annotated PDF to an Account Hub or send it by email (when enabled by your admin).
